The Michael Zemanek Memorial Foundation, Inc. (MZMF) is a charitable foundation.​​​​​

​

• We are a 501c3 - IRS tax exempt charity;
• We are registered with the Vermont Secretary of State as a Domestic Non-profit corporation;
• We are members of:
  
  • VtSHARES (Green Mountain – United Way Campaign) Charity #12-240
• 100% of all donations are given directly to the families in need.  We do not charge processing or transactions fees.

The MZMF has provided:

• Financial support to surviving spouse and children of sworn Vermont Law Enforcement Officer's (LEO's) who have died either on or off duty;  
• Financial support to sworn Vermont LEO's who are faced with catastrophic situations, the nature of which pose a significant financial hardship for their immediate family.
  
• Equipment to the Vermont Police Academy for the training and safety of all Vermont Law Enforcement Officers as they serve and protect the people of Vermont. 
  
• Equipment/Training to Vermont Law Enforcement Agencies through our MZMF Grant program. 
  

Due to the GENEROUS DONATION by the Trustees of Albert Rae & Mary Doyle​ - we have opened the “MZMF Children’s Fund” to help with serious medical needs of the children of fallen sworn VT Law Enforcement Officers.

All members of the Board of Trustees are volunteers.  Trustees are police officers, or immediate family members of police officers from several different police agencies.  Three of the board members represent Barre City PD, Northfield PD, and the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.
